| Description: |
Our company is looking for a Senior Database Developer with Microsoft SQL Server experience. Candidates should have strong design skills coupled with hands-on expertise. Strong ETL skills using SSIS along with strong query tuning and database optimization skills are a must.
Position Details:
• Design and create logical data models and databases
• Design and implement data warehouses and OLAP cubes
• Work directly with business stakeholders to understand end users’ needs
• Work with team and project managers on application design and functionality
• Establish and enforce database development standards such as naming conventions
• Design, create, and tune queries and stored procedures
• Create ETL processes utilizing SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
• Develop complex reports utilizing SQL Reporting Services
• Research, recommend, and implement analytics tools
• Remain current on relevant technologies and development best practices
Requirements:
• 7+ years experience with Microsoft SQL Server
• 3+ years experience with SQL Server Reporting Services
• Demonstrated experience with data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and cube design
• Strong experience in query optimization
• Understanding of database performance tuning strategies
• Experience with database capacity planning
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
***This is a Full-Time, Non-exempt position located in the Sacramento area.
