SUMMARY
Performs complex benefit duties, follows established procedures in the following areas: life, health dental, disability insurance, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, records maintenance, and unemployment by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Distributes information on and explains benefits programs such as 401(K), health, life, disability, cobra and hospitalization plans to employees and dependents.
Provides services to employees to answer their benefits questions, resolve problems related to payment of benefits, orient newly eligible employees, and process enrollment forms, changes, and loan requests.
Corresponds with or telephone physicians, hospitals, and employees regarding claims FMLA-support, EDD-requests, and Disability insurance.
Maintain employee benefits data in automated human resources information systems.
Maintains vendor contact to investigate discrepancies and provide information in non-routine situations.
Fills out application forms or verifies information on forms submitted by employees. Mails applications to insurance company or may input information into appropriate web applications.
Files records of claims and fills out cancellation forms when employees leave company service.
Processes benefit termination on-line.
Files and maintains records for future references.
Processes status changes and reviews claims.
Provides as needed support for Claims Coordinator.

QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE and/or EDUCATION
Up to one year related experience or training.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Write routine reports and correspondence. Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages and volume. Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical solutions.
REASONING ABILITY
Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Cache Creek Casino Resort Tribal Gaming License.
