Sacramento Credit Union has had a growing membership base for over 65 years. With seven local branches, SCU takes pride in the integrity and trust it has built with its members and in providing strong leadership and support for its employees.
We are currently seeking an Information Technology Manager to join our Information Systems Department. This position is responsible for planning, managing and overseeing the day-to-day IS and IT processing functions. Under minimal supervision, anticipates, plans and coordinates the IT system requirements of the credit union, as well as manage the overall operation of the in-house data processing system. Analyzes and manages complex networked systems and servers running in UNIX and Windows environment. Works closely with business and user groups to identify and initiate projects as well as serve as the liaison between technical and business teams. Responsible for the daily supervision and training of IT/IS staff ensuring that the departmental objectives are aligned with strategic goals of the credit union.
Successful IT Manager candidates should have:
BA/BS Degree in Information Technology or related work experience.
MSCE Certification.
UNIX (AIX/LINUX) administration knowledge and experience.
Experience and knowledge of the TCP/IP suite of protocols and implementation as well as the support of the networks and internetworks which support client/server applications with Microsoft Windows desktop client systems.
Experience and knowledge of various Microsoft software applications including Visio, Project, Excel, Word, Access, SQL as well as familiarity with scripting languages and HTML.
Experience and knowledge of network and communications hardware and software and related implementation and operation issues in LAN, WAN and internetwork environments.
Experience and knowledge of network security issues including firewalls, anti-virus systems, backup systems and deploying authentication systems.
Experience installing, programming, maintaining and repairing a variety of network devices including servers, PCs, switches, routers and printers.
Understanding of financial institution data processing and technical operations.
Demonstrated ability to manage tasks/projects and ability to effectively manage people.
