Job Description

Job Summary:
Under supervision, function as the logistical representative for the delivery of Resource Center for Family Focused Practice statewide contract training, totaling approximately $2 million in contracts per year. Develop professional relationships with county contacts, instructors and off site vendors to ensure successful assessment, development, and implementation of standardized and customized on site, online and distance learning training. Conduct event/Course planning such as selecting and reserving event sites, provide logistical arrangements including acquiring permits, arranging for travel arrangements, gathering and duplicating materials, and creating paperwork for compensation. Track and monitor expenses. Provide on-site support. Typing and formatting a variety of documents. Processing enrollment and evaluations. Maintaining schedules and calendars.

Physical Demands:
Lift and move boxes of course materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment:
Valid CA driver's license required.
Work overtime during peak periods. Must be available for overnight travel and to work variable hours. Must be able to drive to various locations throughout California.

Background Check Required:

This position is a critical position and subject to a background check. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of background investigation including criminal history and identity checks.


Minimum Qualifications:
-Experience planning/coordinating logistical details for events or programs in a professional and/or educational environment.

-Administrative office support experience including large amounts of data entry and tracking materials and information.

-Customer service experience in a business office environment to handle client/customer requests professionally, expediently, and with minimum direction.

-Experience working independently as well as in a team environment.

-Experience using a database and business tracking system.

-Experience using multiple software programs including MS Office Suite for Windows including advanced features in Microsoft Word to complete merges, tables, and macros and to produce correspondence, forms, tables and other printed materials within standards.

-Editing and proofreading skills to proofread documents to ensure grammar, spelling and punctuation are accurate.

-Skills to collect and compile information maintain accurate records and produce accurate and timely reports.

-Skills to adhere to purchasing, monitoring of expenses, cost tracking, accounting, travel and other policies and procedures as governed by the University of California.

-Interpersonal, oral and written communication skills to interact professionally and effectively in person, on the telephone, online, and via email.

Preferred Qualifications:
-Experience organizing workload independently and setting priorities, adapting to changing work priorities, and performing multiple unrelated tasks.

-Experience in using automated and computerized financial systems

-Knowledge to research products and to negotiate with vendors for best terms.

-Problem solving experience translating customer needs/problems, identify relevant factors, formulate logical conclusions and suggest alternative solutions

-Skills to obtain information from clients to effectively meet the goals/objectives of training.

-Experience communicating before groups and facilitating group meetings and discussions


$18.97-$26.86/hr; placement in range commensurate with experience
