Job Description

The Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP): Cutting Edge ABA provider is seeking an ambitious and energetic Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide individual pull out therapy, consultation for ABA programs and training for employees. Our consumers are young children with autism and are receiving 25 – 40 hours of intensive ABA treatment in a center and non-public preschool environment. SLP is an important component of their programs and this is an opportunity to work WITH a provider instead of against! Our center is located in Sacramento and provides a very bright, energetic and positive place to work and play with our children. Salary and benefits are highly competitive. Must hold a Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology and eligible for CA state licensure with a minimum two years experience. Summary of Duties and Responsibilities: To provide high quality speech, language, and communication services to children with autism by bridging a developmental perspective with sound principles of reinforcement and a working knowledge of behavioral principles. Speech and Language Pathologist/Consultant services children with autism spectrum disorders through direct and consultative services to ABA programs. The SLP provides recommendations regarding developmental speech and language skill acquisition and functional and social communication skill development for individual clients. Additional services include: screening and assessment measures, written reports, support to Preschool Teacher and Behavior Consultants regarding the development and implementation of goals and objectives, and staff training. -Understanding of Positive Behavioral Principles -Attendance in staff meeting and trainings as requested -Troubleshoot client’s speech and language progress -Serve on IEP and PTM teams -Conduct assessments and provide written reports of results -Communicate with parents and staff members -Write speech and language goals -Consult with Center Based staff on goal development and implementation -Monitor and achieve client hours provided
