The Digital Engagement Writer helps Sutter Health develop digital content assets that position Sutter Health as the go-to authority for health and wellness information and services in Northern California. In support of the digital consumer experience and at the direction of the Manager of Digital Marketing and Content Strategy, this position works on all phases of editorial content creation to address the different phases of the patient experience – from prospect to retention. Responsibilities include research and analysis, interviews, writing, review and editing, using editorial, SEO and online best practices.Knowledge of writing for the Web and mobile environments, SEO, digital advertising, news and feature writing/editing techniques, Associated Press style, scriptwriting for audio/video, writing for infographics and other visual assets, research principles and project management are required. Knowledge of health care issues and consumer health trends is preferred.Substantial (5 years) professional experience writing and editing in corporate, journalism or agency setting is required. Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams of developers/production teams, analysts, usability experts, designers and strategists is required.Excellent analytical, negotiation and project management skills required. Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills necessary. Ability to work with staff at all levels of the organization required. Organizational skills required, including demonstrated ability to maintain production schedules and strict adhere to multiple timelines and budgets.
